This assignment entitled “Mental Health Nursing: Concepts, Assessment, and Care” has been prepared by us as part of the B.Sc Nursing curriculum.
The primary objective of this work is to gain in-depth knowledge about the basic concepts of mental health, various assessment techniques, psychiatric disorders, and therapeutic nursing interventions. Through this assignment, we have attempted to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical understanding to improve our professional competence.

Dr. Navdeep Singh

Dr. Navdeep Singh is a dedicated nursing academic and healthcare professional with a strong multidisciplinary background. He completed his B.Sc. Nursing from CIMS, Dehradun and M.Sc. Nursing in Medical-Surgical Nursing from Grantham College of Nursing, Gwalior. He further obtained an MBA in Hospital Administration from Swami Vivekanand University, Meerut, an LLB from Sri Venkateshwara University, a master’s in public health, a master’s in yoga and naturopathy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health Care, and an M.Phil. in Psychology,Phd, Masters in Hospital Administration, PGDCA and Tally Certified. Since 2014, he has been serving as Principal at Indus College of Nursing, Khanda Kheri, Hansi, Haryana, where he is committed to advancing quality nursing education and holistic healthcare practice. His diverse qualifications and long-standing leadership experience enrich his contributions as an author in the field of nursing and health sciences. He has published several research papers in reputed national and international nursing journals. He also holds international patents, reflecting his innovative mindset.

Prof. Ginu Anie Joseph is an accomplished academician and nursing education leader with over 16 years of experience in teaching, academic administration, and research mentorship. She holds a Bachelor degree in Nursing from Sophia Nursing College and a Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Currently serving as Principal, School of Nursing, ARKA JAIN University, she plays a strategic role in curriculum development, faculty development and institutional governance. Her academic expertise includes the instruction of psychology, Mental Health Nursing for graduate students, and has successfully guided numerous undergraduate and post graduate research projects. Nursing from Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She has more than two years of teaching experience in nursing education and is currently working as an Assistant Lecturer at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. After completing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a nursing educator for one year and further advanced her academic career by pursuing post-graduation in Mental Health Nursing.
